Mariners Acquire Minor League INF Jake Slaughter & Cash Considerations from CHC

SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the Mariners have acquired minor league infielder Jake Slaughter and cash considerations from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for right-handed pitcher Tyson Miller.

The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster remains at 39 players.

Slaughter, 27, is batting .297 (33x111) with 17 runs, 6 doubles, 5 home runs, 17 RBI, 15 walks and 10 stolen bases, getting on base at a .392 clip, slugging .486 with an .878 OPS in 32 games with Triple-A Iowa this season.
