The Florida Gators kicked off their 2023-24 basketball season with a 93-73 win over Loyola Mayland inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on Monday night. Florida’s 93 points marks the second highest point total in a single game under Todd Golden (FAMU, 102).
Florida jumped out to an early 16-0 lead behind a staggering defense start and efficient three-point shooting.
“Great. What we were hoping for and we were able to accomplish it,” Todd Golden said on the fast start. “I thought we did a good job at the beginning of the second half that way as well.
